Serving New Hampshire For More Than 110 Years

Martin, Lord & Osman, P.A., traces its roots to 1901, when Oscar Young started his law practice in Laconia. Shortly after opening his office, he hired Thomas P. Cheney as his associate attorney and the firm became Young & Cheney. Although the names and faces have changed over the last century, we remain committed to our tradition of helping people resolve problems and contributing to the legal profession and to the communities we serve.

In 1971, our firm moved from the former Laconia Savings Bank Building in downtown Laconia to its current location in the renovated historic Busiel Mill, now known as One Mill Plaza. The building is listed in the United States Register of Historic Buildings. We also have offices in Lancaster, Lebanon and Wolfeboro. We serve clients throughout New Hampshire.

While our lawyers benefit from focusing their efforts in specific practice areas, we often work together when a client's needs overlap. An example of this is when an entrepreneur needs assistance selecting the right business entity, needs to purchase commercial property and develop an estate plan that provides for business succession. We are a one-stop legal solution, providing an important legal relationship that lasts for decades.
